About Us

GCAS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports Glynn County Animal Services. Our goal is to harness the energy of animal lovers in our community and beyond to better the lives of the shelter animals through fundraising, networking and advocacy.

We raise funds so that the shelter dogs and cats have what they need while they're onsite - but we work to promote the animals on social media, print media, word of mouth and adoption events so that their stay at the shelter is as short as possible.

We host community volunteer days to train more volunteers to help in person walking and socializing the dogs and cats.

We provide educational opportunities free of charge to the community on topics such as fostering, legislative action and pet CPR.

Our fundraisers have included restaurant dining events, bowling, a pub-crawl, a walk/run for people with their dogs or shelter dogs, pet photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, pampered chef, homemade goods sold to raise money and t-shirt sales.
