Epworth By The Sea

About Us

Epworth offers a wide variety of accommodations and facilities to meet the needs of our guests attending retreats and conferences as well as individuals on vacation.

From Epworth, England To Epworth By The Sea... Epworth By The Sea is named in honor of the boyhood home of John and Charles Wesley, founders of Methodism. In 1784, John Wesley tenderly recalled his home by writing in his famous journal, ''I rode to Epworth, which I still love beyond most places in the world.'' Though he is said to have ridden 250,000 miles and preached 45,000 sermons, Epworth still held his heart.

Today, the people who visit our Epworth tell us they, too, love this place beyond most places in the world. We pray that this special Christian Retreat Center will hold your heart as well!

Epworth is a place where you find warm relationships and beautiful surroundings for worship, study and fellowship. We pray this visit to Epworth will help you revive some fond memories and create a few new ones along the way!

Thank you for your love, your prayers and your support! Our gates are always open! Please come for a visit!

God bless you!
